For the first edition of the new feature, "Nick's Knocks," I figured I would start out with a knock on myself.
I made an interesting mistake on the broadcast during the doubleheader against Falmouth. During the second game of the doubleheader, I noticed a large bird flying beyond center field. I confused the term, "commodore" with "condor," suggesting that the bird might be a good omen for the team, since (I thought) that was what a commodore was. It was a pretty boneheaded move on my part, but at least it gave Graham and Craig a few laughs. Hopefully it made you smile too.
Now I understand that a commodore is a naval admiral, and that it doesn't eat mice.
